Garage Saling!

I have just discovered garage saling and it's become a new hobby. (Although Benson refers to it as "garbage collecting") Every Friday, I would drive Ashy and her friends to preschool, and noticed the enormous amounts of garage sales. So I started slowing down and looking, and then actually stopped and found some fun things. This was one of my prize finds: An exersaucer in perfect condition for only $5! I brought it home, sanitized it, and she LOVES it! Not sure how the other kids did it without one. Nothing is more fun than getting a great deal! And she's so darn cute, had to share the picture!

MMMM mmmmm Good!

Peyton doesn't like to have to wait too long for anything, but having a baby sister 18 months younger, I can't jump to his every request, so he has become very independent and helps himself to whatever he wants. Well, as most two year olds, he isn't crazy about eating his dinner, but rather eat things like ice cream, fruit snacks and chips. So the other night, I was sitting on the couch feeding Kennedi, and I looked over and saw that Mr. Independent had reached up into the silverware drawer, found himself a butter knife, opened the freezer door, found a tub of his favorite ice cream, ripped off the lid and was in toddler heaven.

Big Buddy

Although five sometimes feels crazy (my husband would claim that sometimes is an understatement=), it is rewarding to hear the sound of laughter replace the sound of fighting as the big kids choose to play with the little ones. It makes it all seem worth it. Although Dallin isn't always the first one to jump up and offer to hold the crying Kennedi, or to watch the ever busy Peyton, he sure does a great job of playing with them and all involved have a BLAST!

Kennedi, almost 7 months, is now at a fun age for Dallin to play with. Today he had to clean his room and took Kennedi upstairs with him, so he could make her laugh while he cleaned.

Family Pic.s

We just had family pictures taken and I just HAVE to share them, because I was excited that we got some good ones - what are the odds that you can get seven people from 5 months to 33 years to look happy and to look in the same direction! I know this is probably more Smith than you want to see, so feel free to stop whenever you've had enough =).

My Personal Favorite!

My Little Men

My Little Heart breakers!

The WHOLE Clan!

Just the Two of us - now that doesn't happen too often.

(Well, often enough to have five, I guess)

All the men in my life!

Pheww, that's all folks.

Peyton turns TWO!

I can't believe it, but on the 22nd Peyton turned 2! He is starting to talk like crazy and is such a little man! Of course we think that everything that comes out of his mouth is adorable. Peyton has a pet name for everyone, "Lally, Do-Do, Ashy, and Baby Nenni. So now, of course, we have adopted those names as well. He has started saying prayers by himself, and it is the cutest thing ever. He starts on his own, "Heavny Faudeh" and then
continues saying family names over and over again, until someone jumps in to help him. He squeezes his eyes shut tight, peaking at us every once in awhile, or sneaking little morsels of food from his dinner plate. We have also taught him answers to common questions. He knows his name, age, birthday, and of course, his best friend, "Mama" -(can you tell who's teaching him the answers =). My 2nd personal favorite, is when you ask him, "Where were you born?" And he replies with a perfect little accent, "Carolina."

We had a small, family birthday party with, of course, a ball cake! Peyton already can identify and name every type of ball you can hand him - and throw it as well.
